Columbia River swimmer Andrea Young was voted The Columbian’s fall sports athlete of the week in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Young collected 48 percent of the 961 votes cast by fans to beat out Jacob Berg of Mountain View boys golf. Berg had 39 percent.
Young won all five of her events to win the high point award at the Mark Morris Sprint Pentathlon, and she made the state qualifying mark in the 200 individual medley.
Other nominees included Evergreen girls soccer player Nicole Mattson, Battle Ground boys cross country runner Mark Tedder and Heritage volleyball player Dalaney Tuholski.
