The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing will conduct air combat training through Oct. 14.
Flights will launch about 7 a.m. and wrap up before 4 p.m.
F-16s from the 21st Fighter Squadron at Arizona’s Luke Air Force Base will participate in the training. The air combat training provides realistic combat scenarios to develop aerial tactics against adversaries. The National Guard trains with other air bases throughout the world to strengthen its skills and international relationships, officials say.
