David J. Kappos, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, will speak on patent law on Monday, Oct. 29, at the University of Portland.
Kappos directly advises the president, the secretary of commerce, and the administration on intellectual property matters. He will speak on “Winning the Future by Building a 21st Century Patent and Trademark System.” The talk is at 7 p.m. at the University of Portland Commons, 5000 N.
