About 700 Clark County residents participated in 44 community cleanup, maintenance and restoration projects on Saturday as part of the first Clark County Connects Day of Service event.
Gary Bock, volunteer coordinator for the effort, said he had hoped to get about 1,000 people involved, but that it wasn’t bad for a first-year turnout. “It was a little short of my hopes, but we still had a ton of volunteers we sent all over the place,” Bock said. “I strongly suspect this is going to become an annual thing.”
