Sheriff’s deputies are investigating reports of a burglary at Husted’s Hazel Dell Lanes early Monday.

Toni Fantini, general manager of the bowling alley at 6300 N.E. Highway 99, said someone pried open the back door of the building around 2:45 a.m., kicked in the door of a financial office and went through files. The suspect then left the bowling alley and came back in around 4:09 a.m., went through the bar and front office and cut through the ATM machine. He left around 4:30 a.m.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police were not dispatched to the bowling alley at the time of the break-in because of a security system glitch, Fantini said. “It’s been fixed,” she said.

Surveillance photos were sent to the sheriff’s office. Fantini heard there have been a few burglaries in the area in the past week and a half.

If anyone has information on the suspect, they should call the sheriff’s office at 360-397-6079, said Sgt. Fred Neiman, sheriff’s spokesman.
