Camas-based Talbitzer Construction has submitted an application to Clark County’s Community Development Department, asking to amend an already approved subdivision site plan to more marketable single-family housing lots.

Talbitzer proposes to reconfigure a 124-lot townhouse subdivision on the north side of Northeast 47th Street east of 56th Avenue in Vancouver. A portion of the Hazelnut Grove Estates Subdivision has already been developed into two rows of attached townhouses facing Northeast 48th Avenue.

The developer has applied to change the remainder of the development to be recorded as 63 single-family, detached lots. Local real estate experts say lots for single-family houses are in high demand among local builders and some national homebuilders that are now moving into the Clark County market.
