The local observance of POW-MIA Recognition Day will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday on Vancouver’s Veterans Affairs campus.
The ceremony will be at the Vietnam War Memorial Garden, on the west side of the Vancouver VA campus, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.
The event is sponsored by the Community Military Appreciation Committee and the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, which includes the Vancouver VA site.
The Vancouver Community Concert Band and Fort Vancouver Pipe Band will perform.
