Bleacherreport.com put together a list of the most hated player on each NFL team. Putting folks like Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning on the list simply because they are so good seems a bit thin. The Seahawk on the list is running back Marshawn Lynch, due to this history of being charged with DUIs.

The website says: “It doesn’t matter if you’re an NFL player or not, anyone who takes the wheel while being intoxicated is an idiot.”

Also worth nothing, bleacherreport’s NFL power rankings have the Seahawks slated in at a lowly No. 25, a bit surprising after the drubbing laid on the Cowboys. The site considers the Hawks tough at home and weenies on the road.

The top five in their rankings are 1. San Francisco, 2. Green Bay, 3. Houston, 4. New England and No. 5 Philadelphia.

As the Major League Baseball season winds down, who are the most disappointing teams?

Sporting News gives that honor to the Phillies, who won 102 games a year ago. Losing Chase Utley and Ryan Howard left gaping holes in the lineup until just before the All-Star break. Ace righthander Roy Halladay also missed nearly two months with shoulder strain. Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee have been good, but not great.

The fix for the Phillies is to get healthy and younger.

Others on the list, in order of disappointment, are Miami, the Angels, Milwaukee, Detroit and Boston.

At least the Washington Huskies get a bye week to feel good after their drubbing of an overmatched Portland State. Next up is a Sept. 27 showdown with No. 9 Stanford, and how good did the Cardinal look in taking Southern Cal out of the top 10.

Here’s reality, according to Jerry Brewer of the Seattle Times: Washington must make amazing progress over the next week to prepare for what’s to come — three straight games against Pac-12 foes currently ranked in the top 13.

One encourging note: Freshman safety Shaq Thompson had his first huge game with seven tackles, including two for loss, in addition to a blocked field goal.
