Tim Hergert, Heritage
Heritage receiver Tim Hergert was voted The Columbian’s football player of the week in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Hergert collected 30 percent of the 547 votes cast by fans to beat out Jordan Berni of Skyview and Reilly Hennessey of Camas in a close vote. Berni had 26 percent, and Hennessey had 25 percent.Hergert caught seven passes for 133 yards and one touchdown, and he returned a kickoff 98 yards for another touchdown in the Timberwolves’ loss to Enumclaw.Other nominees included Union’s Treve’ Ensley and King’s Way Christian’s Jay Becker.
Nominees are posted on The Columbian’s blog at www.360preps.com on Saturday. Voting starts shortly thereafter at www.facebook.com/360preps and continues until Tuesday evening.
