The annual Sturgeon Festival spotlights the Columbia River ecosystem and its inhabitants. The festival includes hands-on activities about fish and wildlife, Eartha the Ecological Clown at 10:30 a.m. and the Creature Feature reptile show at 1:30 p.m. Visitors can also see live sturgeon in the 350-gallon aquarium at the Water Resources Education Center.When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

Simply symphonic summer
The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Chamber Group opens its season with songs dedicated to the dwindling season in “Days of Summer.” The performance will feature special guests cellist Adrienne Welse, clarinetists William Blayney and Steve Bass, as well as a series of duet performances. The chamber group is made up of a smaller ensemble of symphony musicians to provide a classical concert in a more intimate setting.When: 7 tonight.

Drink This! will celebrate the local craft beverage makers in downtown Vancouver with drink tastings and live music during a tour of 15 businesses. The lineup includes a tea blender, two wineries, three breweries, four coffee roasters in businesses from Sixth Street to 20th Street.
