An early morning fire caused significant damage to a Hazel Dell house Friday.
Firefighters with Clark County Fire District 6 and the Vancouver Fire Department were called to a house fire around 3 a.m. at 10611 N.E. 20th Ave.
When crews arrived the house was engulfed in flames, said Capt. Scott Reamer, with District 6. About 20 firefighters set up a defensive attack to contain the flames and protect nearby houses.
The fire was under control after about an hour, Reamer said.
No one was reported injured.
The homeowner was at home himself when the fire sparked but he got out without injury, Reamer said.
County property records indicate the house is owned by Robert Bergdahl.
The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
