Mental health lectures start Oct. 1 at Clark

Clark College’s “Mental Health Mondays” series returns Oct. 1, with fall lectures covering a wide array of social issues.

“Mental Health Mondays” are from noon to 1 p.m. in the Penguin Student Lounge, in the Penguin Union Building on Clark’s main campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

All the lectures are free and open to the public.

The “Mental Health Mondays” sessions are sponsored by the Clark College Counseling and Health Center. Additional information is at counseling services. Driving directions and parking maps are also available.

The fall “Mental Health Mondays” series:

Oct. 1, Anxiety, Robert McLellarn; Oct. 8, ADHD, Asperger’s syndrome, Social Anxiety, Michael Brooks; Oct. 29, Mindfulness in Therapy, Robert Anderson.

Nov. 5, Learning Challenges and Traumatic Brain Injuries, Adam Nelson; Nov. 19, Helping Veterans Get Help, Jerry Keen; Nov. 26, Anger, Stress and Holidays, Philip Friberg.

Dec. 3, Seasonal Affective Disorder, Brian Thompson.
