Serial entrepreneur Ken Hood will be among the featured speakers at the next Clark County PubTalk event, “From Alpha to Exit: Funding Every Stage of Startup Growth,” from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fort Vancouver National Trust’s Artillery Barracks, 600 E. Hood has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, business development, and product management in telecommunications and software. He specializes in taking mid-sized businesses and growing them to become $100 million companies. Hood founded Vancouver-based telecom startup ClearAccess, which raised over $10 million from venture capital partners and the Oregon Angel Fund from its inception in 2005. In May, Cisco closed on its acquisition of ClearAccess.
The PubTalk event also will feature contract CFO and capital formation adviser Kathy Sego, international business development consultant Richard Biggs and a panel of experts.
PubTalk events are organized by the Columbia River Economic Development Council and the Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council.
