Pirates shanghai Bella Vista picnic

Bella Vista — Ahoy, mateys! More than 80 neighbors gathered for the Bella Vista Neighborhood Association’s annual picnic at Bella Vista Park on Aug. 19. The picnic theme was pirates, and many neighbors dressed the part. Folks celebrated the addition of a community garden to the park, plus they congratulated Bob and Linda Brattstrom for their hard work in their yard, which earned them a Vancouver Sparkles award. Jeff and Shelly Austin from Real Life Church brought their bounce house for kids.
