SALMON CREEK — Washington State University Vancouver will screen four films during its Diversity Film Festival at the campus at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. All films are free. The first three will be shown in the Firstenburg Student Commons. The final film will be shown in the Dengerink Administration building, room 110.
• 4 p.m. Sept. 10, “Please Vote for Me,” Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles.
• 4 p.m. Sept. 12, “The Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story,” winner of the national Edward R. Murrow Award, the Polk Award for Excellence in Journalism and the International Documentary Association’s Donnet Award.
• 4 p.m. Sept. 18, “Reel Injun: On the Trail of the Hollywood Indian,” winner of the Peabody Award.
• 4 p.m. Sept. 20, “Two Spirits” examines tradition, controversy, sex and spirit, civil rights and gender issues. The film’s director, Lydia Nibley, will lead a discussion after the showing.
