The Friends of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra have organized a fundraiser luncheon to bring the Summer Concert in the Park back to Esther Short Park in 2013.
The luncheon, on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel at the Quay, 100 Columbia St., will feature music and Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt as a guest speaker.
The annual free summer concert was last held in August 2008. It was canceled in subsequent years due to budget problems.
