Portland-based shoe retailer Fit Right is moving its east Vancouver store into larger space at 16020 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. in the Town Center shopping center.

The new store is expected to open Thursday with a boutique-style design, according to a statement. Fit Right, which sells running and walking shoes, apparel and orthotics, launched its flagship store in Portland’s trendy Northwest 23rd Avenue shopping district in 2000.

It became a retail chain a few years later, branching out to Vancouver in a smaller Town Center space. The company is co-owned by running enthusiasts Dave Sobolik and Robb Finegan, who in May opened a third Fit Right store in Hillsboro, Ore.

In April, Fit Right’s partners purchased a three-story retail building in downtown Vancouver for $639,000. The vacant building formerly housed the Spanky’s consignment business. Finegan has said Fit Right has no immediate plans for the downtown building.
