Police officers take tips for Special Olympics

Police officers will serve customers at local Red Robin restaurants on Saturday to support Special Olympics athletes.

Sheriff Garry Lucas, Battle Ground Police Chief Bob Richardson, Interim Vancouver Chief Chris Sutter, Lt. Roy Rhine from Ridgefield and others will donate time between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Donations will benefit the Special Olympics, according to a sheriff’s office release.

The restaurants are at 2410 Columbia House Blvd., 801 S.E. 160th Ave., and 8311 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive.
