Camas — “Kids Ink NW,” a magazine by and for kids, sent out its inaugural issue this month. More than 90 percent of the content is from school-aged children throughout Southwest Washington. The magazine is delivered through local businesses, online downloads and print and digital subscriptions. It’s the brain child of parents Kathi Hansen and Seth Sjostrom, whose goal is to foster excitement for writing and reading in children by providing with a forum to share their creativity. Hansen is a former PTA president and has developed enrichment programs for Camas Parks & Recreation for more than a decade. Sjostrom, also a PTA parent, is an author, publisher and contributor to several regional publications.
