Five people were injured Tuesday evening in a T-bone collision on state Highway 500 in Sifton, according to a memo from the Washington State Patrol.

Elizabeth Sandstrom, 45, of Vancouver was eastbound at 4:55 p.m. on Highway 500 in her blue 2007 Infinity FX35. She attempted to make a left turn onto Northeast 182nd Avenue in front of Ryan Jones, 29, of Camas, who was driving west on 500 in a red 1997 Ford Bronco, the patrol said. The Bronco hit the passenger side of the Infinity, the patrol said.

Jones and his passenger, Brittanni Wood, 24, of Camas, as well as Sandstrom and her two passengers, Anna Sandstrom, 12, and Arthur Maecy, 12, both of Vancouver, were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where they were treated and later discharged.

Both cars were totaled and towed from the scene.

Sandstrom was cited for allegedly failing to yield the right of way. The Washington State Patrol is investigating this accident.
