• John Franklin has been named program director at the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. Franklin has been in leadership roles at the national youth organization Young Life for three decades, last as senior vice president.
• Stacy Frost has won the Edmund Friedman Young Engineer Award for Professional Achievement from the American Society of Civil Engineers. Frost is a senior engineer at Maul Foster & Alongi Inc. in Vancouver.
• Connie Mom-Chhing has been named the Southwest Washington Behavioral Health Regional Support Network’s first chief executive officer. Mom-Chhing has served as administrator of Clark County’s Regional Support Network since 2008.
• Ryan Nisle, a partner in Miller Nash LLP, has been named to “The Best Lawyers in America 2013” list. The list recognizes outstanding attorneys based on a peer-review system. Nisle, a Southwest Washington resident, works in Miller Nash’s Vancouver and Portland offices. He was included in the list’s tax law category.
• Raj Patel of Vancouver received the “President’s Special Recognition Award” from the Optometric Physicians of Washington at the association’s annual meeting Sept. 27-28. Patel practices at Vancouver Vision Clinic’s locations in Camas and Vancouver. He served two years as president of the Southwest Society of the Optometric Physicians of Washington.
• Regan Schaller has joined HDJ Design Group, a Vancouver-based engineering, planning and landscape-architecture firm, as the company’s in-house survey technician. Schaller has more than 11 years of survey experience.
• David Stoller, a local McDonald’s owner and operator, has been inducted into the Ronald McDonald House Charities Hall of Fame. Stoller is the longtime chair of the organization’s Outreach Committee and a member of the Speakers Bureau, where he represents the RMHC at community events.
• Two Clark College employees have been recognized with Exceptional Classified Staff awards for their exemplary work performance and contributions to the college. Audra Rowton, secretary senior in physical sciences, has worked for 11 years at the college, first in the purchasing department followed by seven years as secretary senior. Gracie White, information technology services specialist, is a Clark College graduate who joined the college staff in June 2000. Both women live in Vancouver.
