Wind knocks out power to 1,000+ in east county

More than 1,100 customers lost power Saturday when high winds blew trees into power lines, according to Clark Public Utilities.

The outages affect 992 customers in the Cascade Park/Orchards area starting at 1:18 p.m. and about 200 customers in Camas and Washougal starting at 2:26 p.m., according to a Clark Public Utilities website.

As of 4:45 p.m., power had been restored in the Cascade Park/Orchards area. Service was restored to about 100 customers in the Camas-Washougal area by 5:45 p.m., according to the website.
