Target’s new Jantzen Beach Center store will open Oct. 10, a mall official said Wednesday. The 138,000-square-foot store is on Hayden Island, just southwest of the Interstate 5 Bridge, in Portland.
Minneapolis-based Target Corp. closed its original Jantzen Beach store in June to finish construction of the new store in the north parking lot of the former store.
Target expects to hold a ribbon-cutting event Tuesday, then open the store to the public Wednesday. The grand opening is set for Oct. 14.
The new store is part of a $50 million remake of the mall, which is owned by Columbia, S.C.-based Edens.
