Retailers aren’t the only employers beefing up their workforces for the coming holiday season.

The U.S. Postal Service announced Tuesday that it is hiring temporary employees to work during the upcoming holiday mailing season at mail processing facilities across Washington.

The noncareer positions pay $11 an hour, and there are no benefits. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident.

All applicants must be at least age 18 at the time of hire (or be 16 with a high school diploma).

Applicants must apply for the positions online at the Postal Service’s website, www.usps.com/employment. Go to Washington State and then select Casual 07 for available positions in the state.
