Girls basketball: Washougal 56, Fort Vancouver 55

Savanna McDowell made a free throw to break a tie with one minute to play as the Washougal girls basketball team picked up a road victory against Fort Vancouver on Thursday.

Fort Vancouver missed a pair of free throws with six seconds to play.

Megan Townsend led Washougal in scoring with 14 points.

Mar’Shay Moore had 33 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for Fort.
