Bagley Downs — A group of Clark College communication studies students helped recycle and refurbish computers that will eventually go to those in need. During two trips in November, four students — Kelly Nigro of Woodland, Rosie Scoggins of Vancouver, Misty Smith of St. Helens, Ore., and Richard Thomas of Vancouver — lent a hand at Empower Up, 5000 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Suite F. Empower Up takes donations of used computers and electronics, breaks them down and creates refurbished machines for use by in-need families and nonprofit groups in Clark County. The volunteering students are from Suzanne Southerland’s Communications Studies class. Learn more about Empower Up.
