St. Johns — Clark County Food Bank was named “Outstanding Volunteer Group” by the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter. The food bank, located at 6502 N.E. 47th Ave., won the honor Nov. 14 during the fundraising association’s annual Philanthropy Awards in Portland. Longtime volunteers Jim Youde, Bill Coleman and Joe Pauletto accepted the award. The Association of Fundraising Professionals picked the food bank because of its “commitment to food security in Southwest Washington,” according to a press release. Last December, the food bank opened a $4.2 million warehouse and distribution center, paid for by private donations and government support. Visit the food bank online at www.clarkcountyfoodbank.org.
