Evergreen schools panel seeks volunteers

Evergreen Public Schools is looking for four people to serve two-year terms on the district’s instructional materials committee.

One member must have at least one child enrolled in a district middle or high school, the second and third members will represent the community at large, and the fourth member will serve as an alternate.

All applicants must reside within the boundaries of Evergreen Public Schools.

Members are charged with examining and reviewing the curriculum-adoption process, ensuring that the criteria have been met by the textbook adoption committee, and reviewing all recommended materials.

Interested citizens should call Barb Seekins at the district office, 360-604-4024 or email barb.seekins@evergreenps.org. The application is due Nov. 30.
