Meteorologists from across the region will gather Saturday in Portland for the annual Winter Weather Forecast Conference.
Hosted by the Oregon chapter of the American Meteorological Society, the event allows weather experts to give their outlook for the upcoming winter. Presenters will also look back at last winter, which delivered cool, wetter-than-usual conditions to the Pacific Northwest that lasted into late spring. The event will also include a raffle.
The gathering begins at 10 a.m. at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, 1945 S.E. Water Ave. in Portland. The event is free and open to the public.
