Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 1001 E. Fifth St., is among the national parks that will offer free admission during the Veterans Day weekend.
Admission fees into the re-created stockade will be waived Saturday, Sunday and Monday in honor of those who serve and have served in the U.S. military.
More than 70 of the 398 national parks — including Fort Vancouver — have direct connections to the military, according to the National Park Service.
The Veterans Day weekend is the last of the National Park Service fee-free days for 2012.
