Clark County’s influx of newcomers has slowed in the first 10 months of 2012, but people kept moving here at an average rate of more than 1,100 every month. Through October, 11,034 people applied for a driver’s license and turned in an out-of-county license at the same time, according to figures released this week by the Washington state Department of Licensing.
The county’s population was estimated at around 428,000 in 2011, according to Washington’s Office of Financial Management. The number of new people moving here in the first 10 months of the year fell by 4.9 percent from the same period in 2011.
