A 17-year-old boy was sent to the hospital Tuesday morning after his car went off the road and ran into a tree in Ridgefield.
The crash was reported about 7 a.m. on Northwest 209th Street near Delfel Road, said Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy with Clark County Fire & Rescue.
Ten firefighters with Clark County Fire & Rescue and Clark County Fire District 6 responded. Crews used a hydraulic tool to open a door and pulled the teenager up an embankment with ropes, Dawdy said.
The teen was sent to a local hospital by AMR ambulance with injuries that were not life-threatening. Sgt. Alex Schoening with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the teen suffered some broken bones but was otherwise stable.
