In case you missed it, the Washington Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a voter-approved initiative privatizing liquor sales a day before the measure goes into effect, legalizing sales of tequila, rum and other spirits at hundreds of retail stores across the state.
Voters approved Initiative 1183 last fall, dismantling Washington’s state-run liquor system, which was formed in the 1930s in the aftermath of Prohibition.
