Cascade Park — Residents of the Hampton Memory Care Community and Ashley Inn went to a special showing of “Ovo,” the Cirque du Soleil production in Portland. They were seated just a few feet from the stage and absorbed the performance’s revitalizing energy and message of rebirth. Many of the costumed performers greeted the residents — during and after the show — with high-fives, dances and kisses on the cheek. “We don’t see age or memory loss as limitations here,” said Hampton activities director Jody Miller said. “We live in the moment and have as much fun as possible.” “Ovo” ended its run in Portland May 20.
