The Washington State Department of Transportation will close state Highway 500 in the St. Johns Boulevard area from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.
The highway will be closed between Interstate 5 and Falk Road, according to a WSDOT release. Contractor crews will work above the highway to remove wood panels from the St. Johns bridge deck and install overhead interchange signs and storm drains.
If weather permits, crews will also repaint road striping in the area.
Drivers should follow detour routes around the closure, WSDOT says.
