Here’s the list of 4A and 3A high school programs that qualified for state in team sports:
Camas: Football, girls soccer, volleyball, girls basketball, softball, boys soccer.
Mountain View: Football, boys basketball, baseball, softball, boys soccer.
Skyview: Football, girls basketball (state champion), baseball, boys soccer.
Union: Football, boys basketball, boys soccer.
Prairie: Volleyball, girls basketball (state champion), boys soccer.
Columbia River: Girls soccer, baseball.
Evergreen: Boys basketball.
The Camas Papermakers can add softball and boys soccer to a prestigious list.
Mountain View baseball, softball and boys soccer can go on it, too.
These are some of the teams that made it to the state tournament in their respective sports this spring. The Camas and Mountain View teams have plenty of company just at their schools.
This weekend marks the end of the 2011-12 high school sports year. We have had several individual state champions in various sports as well as a couple of team titles.
And a whole lot of celebrating at Class 3A Greater St. Helens League foes Camas and Mountain View.
