An overturned tractor-trailer slowed the Tuesday morning commute on westbound state Highway 14.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on the ramp from Highway 14 to Interstate 205 south, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.
Sydney J. Hall, 61, of Lake Stevens was driving a 2012 tractor and trailer east on Highway 14 to I-205 south. The semi took the curve too fast, left the roadway and rolled to its side, the release said.
Hall was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with abrasions, state patrol said. His passenger, Karen Hall, 56, also of Lake Stevens, was sent to the hospital with a broken collarbone and a neck injury, according to state patrol.
Hall was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
By 7 a.m., westbound traffic on Highway 14 was backed up past the Southeast 164th Avenue exit.
