Last week, the Camas School Board heard testimony regarding the Boundary Review Committee’s recommendation for boundary adjustments. If approved, changes will be effective in the fall of 2013.
The next step in the process will take place at the regularly scheduled school board meeting Tuesday, May 29 at the Zellerbach Administration Center, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., at 5:30 p.m.
At this meeting, the board will discuss the committee’s recommendations and may take action to adopt the boundary revisions as proposed, make changes to the recommendations and adopt an amended proposal, or postpone adoption to allow for further study.
All regularly scheduled school board meetings are open to the public. Although comments are limited to items not on the agenda, the board has received input from parents and community members throughout the boundary review process which included two community “listening posts,” the board’s public hearing on May 14, the website comment form and other communication such as emails, petitions and phone calls.
