A repaving project on eight miles of Interstate 5 between Kalama and Woodland will resume Monday, May 21, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Daytime single-lane closures and nighttime double-lane closures are planned in both directions on I-5.
Nighttime lane closures are planned for early June on state Highway 503, also known as Lewis River Road.
The project involves replacing aging pavement and guardrail on I-5 between the East Fork Lewis River Bridge and Todd Road, as well as on Highway 503 in downtown Woodland.
Expansion joints on the southbound I-5 bridge over Dike Road will be replaced. Sidewalk ramps in Woodland also will be upgraded. In June, crews will grind out old pavement and lay fresh asphalt on Highway 503 in downtown Woodland.
