Well, what can I say? Here we are ready to enjoy another nice weekend in May and of course I could have predicted this months ago. Why? The annual Hazel Dell Parade of Bands is Saturday.
In my 35 years of weather observing here I can count on one hand the number of damp days on parade day. We usually enjoy morning clouds with clear skies by noon or most often mostly sunny skies and even some sunburn and dehydration issues with paradegoers and participants.
Coincidence or heavenly blessings? Maybe a little of both, but the forecast calls for morning clouds burning off to clear skies and sunshine and temperatures in the low 70s. It will be in the 60s at parade start time. Perfect parade weather for all so get out there and enjoy!
Sunday we warm up a little more and we log in our seventh weekend in a row of nice weather. Hopefully that will continue into the holiday weekend. Monday through Wednesday of next week looks cloudier and cooler with showers, so our little dry spell may be coming to an end, but no gully washer that I can see at this point.
