Camas golfers Braeden Campbell and Cosmo Peng finished second and third on Monday at the 3A bi-district tournament to qualify for state next week.
Campbell shot a 4-over-par 76 on the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton.
Peng shot 77.
Adam Barker of Peninsula was the medalist with a 1-over 73.
Niko Magistrale of Mountain View and Sam Walker of Columbia River each shot 81 to finish among the top eight and qualify for state next week at Indian Canyon in Spokane, May 22-23.
4A girls bi-district — Union’s Alicia Kwon placed third on the Cascade Course at Gold Mountain to punch her ticket to state.
Kwon shot an 85 on the par-71 layout.
Battle Ground’s McKenzie Alamillo was fourth with an 87, and Taylor Betterton of Skyview tied for fifth with an 89 to also make it to state next week at Meadow Wood in Spokane.
4A boys bi-district — Union’s Eddie Abellar was the only Clark County golfer to finish in the top 11 and qualify for state.
He shot an 80 on the Olympic Course.
The 4A state tournament is at Hangman Valley in Spokane.
3A girls bi-district — Mountain View’s Abby Kadrmas tied for ninth to be the only Clark County girls golfer headed for the state tournament.
Kadrmas shot 96 on the Cascade Course.
The 3A state tournament is at Esmeralda in Spokane.
2A girls district — Hockinson’s Kelsey Whiles trails North Thurston’s Olivia Lowe (83) by two shots after the first day at Three Rivers.
Woodland’s Sesca Jouwsma (89) and Tia Tsugawa (90) were also among the top five.The tournament concludes today.
Softball
Woodland 3, Mark Morris 0 — The Beavers completed an undefeated 2A Greater St. Helens League season with the shutout of the Monarchs.
Makayla Lefever pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Emily Tesdale was 3 for 3 with a triple.
Woodland (18-2, 12-0) begins district tournament play 4 p.m. Thursday against Centralia at Borst Park.
