The thing is, Kevin Na knows he has a problem with how slow he plays on the PGA Tour.

Fans at TPC Sawgrass were only there to remind him, albeit, rather rudely.

“It is what it is,” Na said to reporters Sunday after closing with a 4-over 76 and falling from first to seventh. “I do need to work on what I need to. I do need to work on my pre-shot routine. I do need to play faster. But the average golfer has no clue how much pressure we’re playing under and how tough it is and how much of a fight it is mentally. I honestly think with all that going on, I did pretty well fighting. I had a good fight. I hung in there, so you know what, I just take the positives from it.”

It’s easy to taunt someone’s flaws, but bottom line for all you weekend golf hacks … let’s see how’d you do on tour. Or for that matter … at TPC Sawgrass.

Apparently the secret to winning on a blue clay tennis court is to wear blue.

Despite all the players’ moaning and groaning over the blue clay in Madrid, both Roger Federer and Serena Williams managed to win tournament titles.

Yeah, and both were wearing blue throughout the event.

Go figure.

Top ATP players like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic said (in so many words) that the blue clay wasn’t good to play on, and even Djokovic went as far as to say he won’t return next year if the blue clay sticks.

Players have now moved on to Rome, greeted by red clay courts.

“It feels great,” Djokovic said Sunday. “After that blue clay, this clay seems like paradise.”
