The Camas Police Department is searching for an East Clark County man accused of repeatedly engaging in sexual acts with a child.

Mark Lee Lunde, 45, is wanted on probable cause for charges of third-degree child rape and possession of child pornography depicting a little girl, who is a relative of one of Lunde’s associates. Camas police declined to release the girl’s exact age. The girl is the only known victim, said Camas police Sgt. Chuck Nadgwick.

The incidents allegedly occurred between summer 2011 and late April, Nadgwick said.

“We don’t want to create mass hysteria,” Nadgwick said. “He’s not the type that’s crouching in the bushes waiting for victims. This looks like more of a crime of opportunity.”

Lunde is a known transient in the Camas and Washougal area. He has no felony record.

Camas police have been looking for him since April 30.

Lunde is known to travel by foot and mountain bike and sometimes borrows a black Dodge Dakota to get around, Nadgwick said. He is 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Anyone with information about Lunde is asked to call 911.
