Active youth contest seeks entrants

Youth 18 and younger who enjoy exercising and eating healthy are encouraged to enter a contest sponsored by Clark County Public Health.

As a part of the “Let’s Move” campaign, youth who win the contest, which is cosponsored by Leadership Clark County, will receive gifts to keep them active.

Five winners will be announced Saturday, June 16 at the Vancouver USA Kids Marathon. Winning videos will also be posted on Public Health and Leadership Clark County websites. For more information, contact Danielle Sparks at 397-8000 Ext. 7388, or e-mail danielle.sparks@clark.wa.gov.

CEF Fun Run set

The Camas Educational Foundation will host its annual Fun Run at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 19. The event includes a 10k and 5k walk/run, and 1k kids walk/run for those in kindergarten through fifth-grade.

All events begin and end at Doc Harris Stadium.

The 10k run is $35 and the 5k run/walk is $15. Student rates are $10 for either race. The 1k is $10.

The event is sponsored by Camas Family Doctor, Paulson and Lesssard CPA and Washougal Sport and Spine.

All proceeds benefit Camas schools.
