• Scott and Jody Campbell, lifetime Vancouver residents and third-generation owners of The Columbian newspaper, will be honored as the 2012 Friends of the Foundation by the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. The award will be presented at the Foundation’s annual luncheon at the Hilton Vancouver Washington on May 8.
• The Clark County Food Bank has named Alan Hamilton as its first executive director. Hamilton’s experience includes working as the senior manager of community investment at First Independent bank, now Sterling Bank.
• David Madore, CEO of Vancouver-based U.S. Digital, is a semi-finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Award in the Pacific Northwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

• New Tradition Homes has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for energy-efficient construction and environmental protection. The company received a 2012 Energy Star Leadership in Housing Award.
