Clark County homebuilding activity continued its upswing in April, sending recovery signals for the third month in a row, according to a report issued Monday.
The data showed 45 new-home permits were issued to build single-family homes in unincorporated parts of the county last month. The 45 permits are valued at $14.2 million, up from 26 permits valued at $8.7 million in the same month last year, the Clark County Community Development Department reported.
April’s 45 permits were up from 43 permits handed out in March. The 139 permits issued in the first four months of the year represent a 48 percent increase over the 94 permits handed out during the same period in 2011.
