Kurt Lundeman, the 47-year-old Vancouver man who suffered life-threatening injuries in a Hazel Dell bike crash last week, remained in critical condition Wednesday night.

Lundeman was crossing west on Northeast Highway 99 near Northeast 102nd Street around 8:30 p.m. Friday when he was hit by a 2001 Mazda minivan driven by Jill Johnson, 47, of Vancouver, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

Lundeman was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center after the crash.

Johnson stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.

Alcohol and speeding do not appear to be factors in the crash, the sheriff’s office said.

The case is under investigation by the sheriff’s Traffic Homicide Unit.
