State to auction off surplus transportation properties

Surplus properties owned by the state, including a tract in Clark County, will be auctioned off this month by the Washington state Department of Transportation.

The 12 parcels are no longer needed for highway projects. Hence, state legislators directed the transportation department to sell off the land to generate revenue for the motor vehicle fund.

The 2-acre Clark County tract borders the south side of state Highway 503 about 0.4 miles south of Northeast 174th Street near milepost 5.8. It is zoned for agricultural use. Visit the department’s Real Estate Auction website at WSDOT Real Estate Auction to learn about the properties and bidding procedure.
