What’s happening in Clark College athletics:
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Austin Bragg signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Western Washington, the defending NCAA Division II national champion. The 6-foot-8 forward from Longview averaged 15.0 points and 10.2 rebounds as a sophomore at Clark. He was a first-team Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Western Region all-star and all-defensive team pick. The Mark Morris High School graduate averaged 12.9 points and 7.8 rebounds as a freshman after spending the 2009-10 season as a redshirt at Washington State.
BASEBALL
Results — Clark (20-12 overall) split a non-NWAACC doubleheader with the Linfield JV on Saturday.
Upcoming games — Clark has just two regular-season weekends remaining. The Penguins host NWAACC West Division first-place Tacoma in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Kindsfather Field on Saturday and visit Tacoma for two on Sunday.
SOFTBALL
Results — Clark (10-16 overall, 2-12 NWAACC South Division) was swept at Southwestern Oregon in Coos Bay on Tuesday, losing 6-0 and 6-3.
