If you’ve got a bunch of family members and friends who want to explore the outdoors together, the Parks Foundation of Clark County has a deal for you.
Sign up your group with the Nature Explore Club program and receive support and ideas from volunteer coordinators, along with a backpack full of gear for children — activity guides, trail maps, binoculars and field guides, nature journals and magnifying glasses, and more.
Club organizers will train club leaders and host monthly themed events. All ages are welcome; no experience is required. For information, contact the Parks Foundation at 360-487-8370 or parksfoundation.us.
Here are key dates:
• Nature Explore Club Leader Workshop: 6 p.m. Friday, April 13, Chuck’s Produce Community Room, 13215 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. Meet organizers and other club leaders. Share ideas on outing sites, monthly events and more.
